Politeknika Txorierri is the coordinator of the SUSTAIN-IT project and has over 25 years of experience in international project management. It is a High School for Science and Technology and a TVET centre in the Spanish Basque Region. Each year, the school provides education for over 400 full-time students and 1000+ adult part-time learners. The centre provides HTVET in various fields and specialisation courses for HTVET students (EQF level 5) in three different fields: -Digital Transformation (Industrial IoT and Cybersecurity) -Advanced Robotics (Collaborative and Autonomous Robots and Artificial Vision) -Smart Manufacturing.
Mundus is a non-profit organisation and oversees the risk management analysis and possible corrective actions of the SUSTAIN-IT Project. Established in 2013 in Barcelona with the current headquarters in Zaragoza. It has become a reference entity in Europe in the field of international mobility and specialises in managing international mobility projects for learning, teaching, and training young people and adults. Their core activity is to provide hosting and sending services for students and professionals within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, particularly in the area of vocational education and training (TVET). Mundus’s mission is to improve young people’s employability by developing their soft skills and broadening their understanding of the current society, through the use of non-formal education methodologies. Mundus’s team is made up of more than 30 motivated professionals from the fields of education and business.
As a partner of the SUSTAIN-IT Project, APRO is a consortium sensitive to the territory’s needs, a non–profit organisation deeply connected to regional, national, and European dynamics. Their goal has always been to train young people for the world of work and the professional updating for workers, in response to the territory and the enterprises’ needs. APRO has 2 training schools in Alba and Canelli, employing 90 members of staff and 200 professionals. They train more than 4000 persons per year in the following sectors: mechanics, welding and carpentry, computer science, electrotechnics, clothing and fashion, tourism and culinary art, hairstyling and beauty, commerce and service activities, health and human services, marketing and communication, administration and business management, design and graphics, environmental protection, safety, ecomanagement, and foreign languages. Since 2009, APRO has collaborated with European partners on mobility projects, partnerships, development and transfer of innovation in the education field, and capacity building in extra European countries. APRO actively works to achieve the objectives of the Europe 2021-2027 strategy of the EC.
DON BOSCO supports the SUSTAIN-IT Project by developing methodologies and guidelines for training VET teachers, ensuring alignment with the project’s objectives. The AGL Province is part of the administrative structure of the Salesian Congregation with headquarters in Rome and was appointed a province in 2006. The Salesians of Don Bosco in AGL are bringing in a paradigm shift by reviewing systems and procedures for the effective running of TVET centers given successful and sustainable development for the coming five years through strategic intervention. Their specific collaboration areas are gender matters for the green TVET program and solar program (experience and best practice sharing), capacity development through TVET trainers study visits (south-south exchange program), and TVET strategic plan capacity development for TVET managers. The office of provincial TVET works as a coordinating body located in Rwanda and has the oversight responsibility of TVET and the office works hand in hand with the Job Service Office at the provincial level. The AGL province runs children’s homes, youth centres, schools, and vocational training centres at 12 locations, reaching up to 6000 children and young people daily.
HIPH is a TVET institution registered and accredited to offer NFC, NC, ND, and HND courses. The Institute as a partner contributes to the development of the capacity-building program of the SUSTAIN-IT Project in collaboration with VET teachers to support the project’s objectives. HIPH can also in association/affiliation offer degree programmes. Their academic pool is diverse with lecturers with backgrounds ranging from biomedical sciences, pharmacy, medicine, business, mathematics/statistics, engineering, environment, etc. HIPH institution has five schools and also has significant experience in curriculum development and review.
Simukai is a partner of the SUSTAIN-IT Project and contributes to the development of the capacity-building program, collaborates with VET teachers to support the project’s objectives. It is a multiservice Organisation that provides a range of child and youth-based programs for the community in the South province of Zimbabwe. The main goal of the SIMUKAI TVET program is to increase access to affordable quality skills training for disadvantaged groups to assist them in achieving full and productive employment and decent work. Simukai’s TVET programme is also designed to address a series of interrelated development problems, such as high levels of youth unemployment, low levels of formal and growth-oriented enterprises, entrepreneurship development, and unsustainable production processes by youth.
As a partner of the SUSTAIN-IT Project, Apodissi contributes to the project’s technical development while seamlessly integrating dissemination and communication activities in collaboration with other partners. Apodissi is an innovation specialist working to inspire and empower African organisations to exploit and adopt innovative technologies such as cobots, smart remote experts’ solutions, industrial 3D, and additive manufacturing. It promotes African innovation by partnering with digital innovation hubs, research centres, and universities to stimulate and advance digital entrepreneurship, innovation, and cross-continental partnerships. Apodissi teams bring a wealth of experience in developing, managing, and promoting international research and innovation projects.
