Sustain-IT is proud to announce Don Bosco as its partner enhancing its commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation.
The Salesians of Don Bosco is a religious Organisation dedicated to providing comprehensive education and support to youth from all backgrounds, focusing on underprivileged and marginalised communities. It emphasises environmental conservation and green education and this means that the organisation not only educates and supports youth but also places the importance of ecological conservation and sustainable practices among the youth. In Rwanda, the organisation has been a key player in vocational education since the 1970s, providing thousands of young people from marginalised communities with the necessary skills to support themselves and make an impact on society. Salesians of Don Bosco operates one secondary school, two primary schools, one nursery, and three TVET schools.
To ensure the meticulous implementation of the Sustain-IT initiative for youth in Africa, Don Bosco plays a key role in the process. By integrating environmental conservation into its educational programs, Salesians of Don Bosco aims to create a generation of young people who are not only academically successful but also environmentally conscious and committed to protecting the planet for future generations, which directly falls into its human protection and promotion of the social cohesion principles.

By equipping TVET teachers in Rwanda with the skills and tools to address climate change and promote sustainability, we are not only investing in the future of our planet but also in the future of the next generation of innovators. This project allows us to further integrate environmental education and green practices into our programs, ensuring that our youth are not only academically prepared but also environmentally conscious and equipped to make a positive impact on their communities.
