The team emphasised that; the Sustain IT project is significant for facilitating the exchange of ideas and solutions among partners. It aims to empower disadvantaged youth, particularly girls and promotes the use of IT to address climate change challenges. This resonates well with Simukai’s Strategic focus Areas (SFA) on Anticipatory Action and Education and Training. These two SFAs aim to exploit full utilisation of technology within the education and training spaces in order to address the ever-changing needs of the environment. Simukai also targets the less privileged in communities such as adolescent girls and young women to be at the centre of the development process.
