The SUSTAIN-IT project has just launched its first set of training modules — designed to empower TVET teachers, students, and professionals across Africa with the skills and knowledge to lead in environmental education.

All materials are now freely available and accessible in multiple languages on the Smart Step eLearning platform.

The first three modules released are:

🌱 Raising Environmental Awareness through Challenge-Based Learning. Empowers educators and learners to tackle real-world environmental challenges through hands-on, problem-solving activities.

💡 Social Entrepreneurship and the SDGs Explores how innovative business ideas can drive positive social and environmental impact aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

🤝 Diversity and Inclusive Teaching Strategies. Provides tools and approaches to create inclusive learning environments that value diversity and equal participation for all students.

Next, the SUSTAIN-IT partners are developing new training modules on IoT technologies for environmental monitoring, along with classroom guidelines for hands-on green activities that use IoT-based tools to monitor water and air quality and explore solar energy applications.
